Chelsea have enjoyed a fruitful summer on the transfer front so far.
The Blues have signed a host of exciting young players as they look to put together a squad that can be a force in the future.
In some cases, Chelsea have left Premier League rivals in the mud. With the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, for instance.
However, there’s still work for the Blues to do in the transfer market, particularly in wake of recent developments.
Christopher Nkunku is on the sidelines, and Chelsea are also sweating on the fitness of Carney Chukwuemeka.
Journalist Dean Jones, speaking on GiveMeSport, believes an “exciting addition is on the way” at Stamford Bridge.
He touched upon Chelsea’s purported interest in a number of targets.
“Mohammed Kudus, Rayan Cherki,” said Jones.
“They are both amazing players but would still come with a certain amount of risk if they land in the Premier League this summer.
“Chelsea also have Brennan Johnson and Jeremy Doku potentially on their list so whatever happens, whoever it is, it feels like another exciting addition is on the way soon.”
The Blues are apparently also keeping tabs on Lyon talent Bradley Barcola.
Our view
Jones isn’t the only journalist expecting a new attacking addition at Chelsea.
Fabrizio Romano also touched upon the Blues’ pursuit of another front line player, saying they’re actively on the case.
It’s good to hear similar reports from multiple journalists. It suggests that the speculation is concrete.
Chelsea are putting together an amazing young squad and, if these reports are correct, there will be yet more exciting updates before September.
