Manchester United legend Paul Ince does not think one of Chelsea’s summer signings has settled in at Stamford Bridge yet.

The last transfer window was once again a busy one for Chelsea, who brought in the likes of Nicolas Jackson, Moises Caicedo and Axel Disasi.

And Paul Ince, who was speaking on talkSPORT, says at least one of their new boys needs to be given more time.

Despite all of the money that they have spent, Chelsea have really struggled in the Premier League this season, recently losing 4-1 to Newcastle United.

Moises Caicedo has not settled

Ince does not feel that Caicedo has settled at Chelsea yet following his big-money move from Brighton & Hove Albion during the summer.

Discussing the midfielder on talkSPORT, he said: “Caicedo hasn’t really settled in. It’s a lot of money, £110m for a midfield player like that. It’s a lot, a lot of money. It takes time.”

Moises Caicedo yet to hit top gear

Chelsea have definitely not seen the best of Caicedo yet, which is not a total shock.

Some players need time to adapt and with the team not performing well as a whole right now, that does make things a bit trickier for new signings such as the Ecuadorian.

Still, after the money that they have spent on him, you would like to see a bit more from Caicedo, especially when you look at the impact Declan Rice has made at Arsenal.

The England international cost a similar fee and has been such an influential player in the midfield for the Gunners this season.

The stability at the Emirates has likely helped. With all of the chaos at Chelsea, it is not an easy to place to come into.

As the campaign goes on, hopefully Caicedo is able to find some rhythm and consistency. It has not been easy for the 22-year-old to do that so far because of injury and all of these international breaks, with the last one really killing Chelsea’s momentum.
