Chelsea have been linked with Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala, but re-signing their former player does not look like it will be easy.
According to journalist Christian Falk, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola also wants Jamal Musiala.
He claimed on X that Guardiola is keen on the attacking midfielder and will be “big competition” for Liverpool and anyone else who is interested in him.

90min recently reported that Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all looking at Musiala.
He was on Chelsea’s books before moving to Bayern in 2019.
Pep Guardiola wants Jamal Musiala in potential blow to Chelsea
Guardiola being keen on Musiala, as Falk is reporting, is likely to kill any hopes Chelsea have of re-signing the 20-year-old.
It is not a shock to hear 90min claim that the Blues are interested in Musiala, who is an incredible talent.
“That was world-class”, Owen Hargreaves said on TNT Sports when discussing a bit of play from Musiala last month.
But joining a club who win the Premier League every season and have now proven that they can be successful in Europe over a side who finished 12th last term is a no-brainer.

On top of that, there is no guarantee that Bayern will even entertain offers for the Germany international. His contract expires in 2026, so the Bundesliga champions will not be panicking just yet.
While Musiala is unlikely to rejoin Chelsea, we still expect the club to do something big in the transfer market soon with so much talk about a new striker potentially coming in.
Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is just one name that has been mentioned and he would obviously be an amazing addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad with his goal record.
The 24-year-old has already scored six goals in eight Serie A appearances this season. Land him, and some Chelsea supporters may not be too disappointed if the club miss out on Musiala.
