Aston Villa are not worried about the future of their star striker Ollie Watkins despite reported interest from Chelsea.
According to 90min, Villa are not currently fearful of losing Ollie Watkins and are confident that they can agree a new contract with him soon.
His existing deal, which the 27-year-old signed when he joined Villa from Brentford for an initial £28m fee back in 2020, expires in 2025.

Earlier this month, GiveMeSport claimed that Chelsea have Watkins on their shortlist of targets as they look to bring in a new No.9.
It was Watkins who condemned Mauricio Pochettino’s side to their latest defeat, scoring the only goal in Villa’s 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge last Sunday.
Can Chelsea still sign Ollie Watkins?
Watkins has obviously not signed his new contract yet and while Villa seem confident that he will, it is not necessarily a guarantee.
He was in top form for them last season, scoring 15 goals in 37 Premier League appearances.

With that in mind, it is not a shock to hear that Chelsea are interested in Watkins, and that interest could easily slow down contract discussions.
If it does, then it is possible that the Blues do sign the England international. However, Watkins looks comfortable at Villa Park right now, while Chelsea seem to be prioritising a move for Brentford’s Ivan Toney.
According to TEAMtalk, Toney is emerging as the club’s top target, so a lot will need to happen if Watkins is to end up at Stamford Bridge.
