Chelsea may have the opportunity to sign one Premier League player they are reportedly interested in soon.
In a development that should give Chelsea some encouragement, according to the Evening Standard, Crystal Palace have made an approach for Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera as they prepare for a possible Marc Guehi departure.
The outlet claims that Guehi could leave Palace in the summer and that sporting director Dougie Freedman is already looking at potential replacements amid that fear.
Back in November, TEAMtalk reported that the Eagles value the 23-year-old at £60m.
Elsewhere, The Sun has claimed that Chelsea are just one club who are going to be looking at Guehi in the summer.

Crystal Palace looking at potential replacements for Marc Guehi amid Chelsea interest
Palace are not naive. They are fully aware that Guehi is a player who is going to appeal to a lot of Premier League clubs and one they may lose, hence their decision to scour the market for a new central defender.
Guehi is an England international with top-flight experience and can get even better given that he is still quite young.
Ultimately, it is hardly a surprise that a big club like Chelsea, who sold the centre-half to Palace back in 2021, are interested in him.
If Guehi had remained at Stamford Bridge, former Premier League manager Alan Pardew thinks he would be starting every week for the Blues.
For Pardew, Chelsea selling Guehi was obviously a mistake. However, if it really was, then they could have the chance to correct it in the summer by re-signing their academy product.
Thiago Silva’s contract expires at the end of the season. Bearing that in mind, perhaps Guehi could come in to replace the Brazilian if he does not sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge and departs west London.
