PSG have just made a bid for Randal Kolo Muani – after the Frenchman held talks about joining Chelsea.

That is according to Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany.

So, what is the situation involving Randal Kolo Muani and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, it was L’Equipe who claimed that Chelsea held talks about bringing the France international to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer.

Christian Falk of BILD added that Muani wanted to speak to Mauricio Pochettino before making a final decision about his future.

Now – however – it seem as if the Eintracht Frankfurt No.9 has chosen to join PSG.

Plettenburg – who also relays information from Erik Peters of BILD – claims that Muani wants to join the French giants, after PSG submitted a €65m (£56m) bid for his signature.

The respected journalist adds that Eintracht Frankfurt want €100m (£86m) for the 24-year-old.

Muani enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign with the German outfit in 2022/23 following a free transfer from Nantes in 2022, scoring 23 goals while also providing 17 assists in 46 appearances.

Randal Kolo Muani would be perfect for Chelsea

According to The Athletic, Pochettino still wants Chelsea to sign another striker despite the £32m arrival of Nicolas Jackson.

In our view, Muani would be the ideal option for Chelsea, so talk of him wanting to join PSG comes as a bit of a blow.

The 24-year-old is an incredibly rounded striker who excels in the air and also with the ball at his feet, while he is also very quick across the ground.

Just take a look at Muani’s tally of goal involvements from last season – he can thrive as a goalscorer or as a creator.

Furthermore, the Bondy-born striker is French, so he surely would not have any issues settling in at Chelsea with the likes of Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Malo Gusto, Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku already at Stamford Bridge.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as PSG still have plenty to do before Luis Enrique can call Muani one of his own.
