Pundit Richard Keys has claimed Chelsea winger Willian “is on his way” to Tottenham Hotspur after having a conversation with Jose Mourinho.

The 32-year-old is on the verge of a Chelsea exit as he is entering the final months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Willian said a new deal is unlikely as the Blues refused to offer the three-year contract he is demanding.

Chelsea’s city rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs who are interested in signing the Brazilian international on a free transfer.

But a well-known sports presenter said Willian would opt for White Hart Lane as his next destination.

Speaking on The Keys & Gray Show, Keys said: “He’s another one that’s already spoken to Jose Mourinho.

“He is on his way to Tottenham.”

Willian himself has previously said he is open to a move to a rival club and spoke about his relationship with Mourinho.

He said on Desimpedidos’ Youtube channel: “He is not only a great coach but also a great friend of mine.

“I learned a bit from each of [my managers] but I identified myself more with Mourinho for sure.

“He trusted in my potential, liked my football, gave me full confidence to play. He is the best coach I have worked with.”

Under Frank Lampard this season, Willian has made 28 appearances in the Premier League, partly thanks to Christian Pulisic’s and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s injuries.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk winger has been Chelsea’s primary creative outlet, making 51 key passes in total in the league; more than any other Chelsea player.
