Real Madrid could make a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez in 2024.
Simon Phillips recently claimed on Substack that he was told that Real Madrid are eyeing up a swoop for Enzo Fernandez next year, causing the journalist to comment “yikes”.
The 22-year-old only joined Chelsea in 2023 and is not having the best season, but he is still a top player.
With that in mind, it would not be a surprise if Real Madrid did register an interest in Fernandez.
The Blues spent a lot of money to bring the Argentine to Stamford Bridge, but talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan does not think he was worth it.

Will Chelsea sell Enzo Fernandez in 2024?
There is no way Chelsea are going to allow Fernandez to leave so soon. Again, while his form has dipped recently, he is still an incredible player.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher suggested that the Argentina international was a “world-class” midfielder when analysing his performance against his old side on Sky Sports at the start of the season.
It is also important to remember that Fernandez is on a long-term contract at Chelsea. Even if he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge, the club would be under no pressure to sell.
Eventually, the Blues may very well find themselves in a position where Fernandez is desperate to join an outfit like Real Madrid.
If Chelsea remain in mid-table and the Spanish giants come knocking, of course it is going to be hard for the former Benfica man to reject a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. But because of the deal he signed when he joined the club in January, they hold all the cards, meaning he may have to wait a while before getting his next transfer.
For now, the Blues probably do not have to worry about potential interest from Real Madrid.
