If the latest reports are to be believed, then the Enzo Fernandez and Real Madrid saga could be well and truly over.

The dynamic at the Santiago Bernabeu revolves around harmony, a reality that directly impacts Enzo Fernandez‘s current situation.

As the FIFA World Cup unfolds, transfer speculation reached a fever pitch following admissions from Fernandez’s camp that they are actively exploring a Stamford Bridge exit. However, the Spanish giants took the extraordinary step of issuing an official statement to publicly distance themselves from the Argentine midfielder, shutting down the rumors completely.

And now it seems as if the situation could be over altogether.

Real Madrid turn their attentions away from Enzo Fernandez

Real Madrid’s hierarchy is firmly committed to their existing blueprint, which positions Jude Bellingham as the crown jewel of their midfield.

Rather than disrupting an engine room that relies on Bellingham and players like Federico Valverde, it seems as if Jose Mourinho will keep things as they are.

This comes from journalist Ramon Alvarez, who believes that Real Madrid have decided to build their midfield around Bellingham and Valverde.

The club has ruled out Enzo Fernandez because they believe he is incompatible with the Los Blancos pair in the same midfield.

For Fernandez, this stance from Spain closes a massive door.

Jose Mourinho is doing Chelsea a favour

Jose Mourinho is inadvertently helping Chelsea by halting his pursuit of Enzo Fernandez at Real Madrid.

By stepping away from the Argentine midfielder, Mourinho has handed the initiative straight back to Chelsea, perfectly clearing the path for Xabi Alonso to work his magic.

Alonso is exactly the type of manager that can reprogram Fernandez and reintegrate him into the club’s plans moving forward. Instead of losing a world-class player in a messy summer saga, the Blues can now ground the player and allow Alonso to unlock his full potential.

Of course, not getting £120 million amid issues and constraints with UEFA may not help, but there are so many sellable assets like Liam Delap, Alejandro Garnacho, Marc Guiu and Benoit Badiashile, who can all generate funds if needed.
