AC Milan are reportedly convinced about signing Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori on a permanent basis – and some of the Blues fans on Twitter are not happy.

According to SportMediaset, as relayed by Milan News, the Italian club are “absolutely convinced” about taking up their option to buy the 23-year-old at the end of the season.

The report explains that Milan are willing to pay €28million (£24.4million) to sign him.

Tomori moved to the San Siro back in January on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season, which included a clause of an option to buy (Sky Sports).

The English defender has quickly become an important player for Serie A giants Milan, nailing down a regular starting position for them.

He’s a centre-back with great pace, power and intelligence, which is why it looks like he could back at Milan long-term.

Tomori is a huge talent that was developed in the Chelsea academy, but ex-boss Frank Lampard granted his exit midway through the season, and it looks like may not play for the Blues again.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are convinced they are about to lose a quality defender.

One fan has likened it to previous sales of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne, who the Blues got rid of in the past and had to watch develop into superstars elsewhere.
