Chelsea player Trevoh Chalobah reportedly wants to complete a move to Inter Milan this summer.

According to Gazetta dello Sport, the 23-year-old Blues defender is pushing to join Italian giants Inter.

It is explained that the Serie A club are “trying everything” to sign Chelsea’s centre-back, who is pushing to make the move to the San Siro.

It’s previously been reported that Thomas Tuchel’s side are prepared to let Chalobah leave on loan if a new defender arrives at Stamford Bridge. Inter were named as suitors alongside RB Leipzig and Roma.

Chalobah wants to join Inter

It’s a big boost for Inter hearing that Chalobah would like to join them, especially as four Premier League sides reportedly want him on loan as well.

The youngster has never played in Italy before, something which has worked so well for former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

However, Chalobah showed his quality as a young talent during a previous loan with French club Lorient. Also, he was very impressive as an important member of Thomas Tuchel’s senior squad last season.

Many supporters are confused to hear speculation around Chalobah leaving after his impact last year. He was a consistent performer last season with 30 appearances across all competitions, proving that he’s good enough to play in the Chelsea line-up.

His career path could lead to his development continuing overseas, but don’t be surprised if he’s back playing under Tuchel in a years time.

Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta extended his stay to remain with the group, so perhaps Chalobah can eventually take on his role in the squad.
