Todd Boehly isn’t convinced Chelsea should cough up a huge transfer fee to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on a permanent basis, according to reports.
Joao Felix, who joined the Blues mid-season, is only on a short-term loan until the end of the campaign.
The 23-year-old’s impressed in moments during his first taste of English football, but there’s just two games left before he’s due to return to Madrid.
TalkSPORT claims that Felix wants to stay at Stamford Bridge and continue playing his football at Stamford Bridge.
However, the report says that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly isn’t convinced about signing the Portugal international and meeting Atletico’s huge £90million price tag.
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo recently claimed he doesn’t know if Felix will return to Chelsea either on another loan or a permanent basis next season.
Journalist Dean Jones reported on GiveMeSport earlier this month that Chelsea are unlikely to fork out a straight sum of £90million to sign Felix this summer. There’s been some talk of a second loan move mooted, though.
