Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko has reportedly told AC Milan he has an offer on the table from Galatasaray.

According to Calciomercato.com, the midfielder met the Milan heirehcy to reveal the proposal put forward by the Turkish club.

Bakayoko must be jumping at the chance to set sail from the San Siro and hopefully start fresh in a new setting.

The 28-year-old has rather rotted away in Serie A since being sent away by the Stamford Bridge heirehcy in 2018.

Just a season after joining Chelsea, the Frenchman was shipped off on loan first to Milan, then Monaco, then back to Italy with Napoli.

His journey went full circle, as he returned to Milan in 2021 for a second attempt at salvation.

It’s been less redemption, more destruction, however.

Stefano Pioli has not picked Bakayoko once this season, potentially due to a clause in the player’s contract.

There is apparently a section in the loan agreement between Piolo’s employers and Chelsea that includes an option to buy Bakayoko that becomes an obligation if he reaches 15 appearances in which he plays for at least 45 minutes.

So far, the Cobham expat is up to seven 45-minute appearances, but doesn’t appear he’ll make anymore.

This sorry demise might not end if he secures a move to Galatasaray, yet at least they’ll be a chance to wipe the slate clean.
