Romelu Lukaku really wants to leave Chelsea by the end of the week.

That is according to a report from The Times.

They claim that Romelu Lukaku, 30, is keen to leave Stamford Bridge this week.

It is understood that Serie A giants Inter Milan have already had one bid rejected this summer worth £23million for Lukaku.

The report explains that the Italians have been in ongoing talks regarding the centre-forward, who’s valued at £40million by Chelsea right now.

Apparently, Inter are preparing to make an improved bid soon.

It’s interesting to note The Times’ line that Chelsea’s don’t consider Inter’s current interest in Lukaku as serious right now.

Will they make a more significant offer the second time around, though?

He’s scored 78 goals in 132 Inter appearances during two spells at the San Siro, including last year’s loan.

We hope for all parties this deal can be resolved quickly, preferably before Chelsea’s imminent trip to the United States for pre-season frendlies.

We’ve heard speculation that Lukaku really is desperate to return to Inter.

The Telegraph recently claimed that Lukaku is prepared to sacrifice £1million in wages to force through a transfer to the Milan giants.

It didn’t work out for him on his return to England and the Premier League with Chelsea, but he’s good enough to get back on track in Italy with his preferred home.

Instead, Chelsea appear to be going down a different route when it comes to finding a solution for goals. They currently have young centre-forwards Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja available to them for next season.
