Chelsea could soon have a disappointed Hakim Ziyech joining up with them for pre-season this summer.

That is according to the Evening Standard.

It’s been widely reported that Hakim Ziyech could be trying to exit Stamford Bridge in this transfer window, but developments on Thursday may put a dent in that hope.

Journalist Santi Aouna claimed on Twitter yesterday that Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr have doubts about signing Ziyech and have identified a knee problem during a medical.

Now, there’s fresh claims that any transfer is now completely off the cards.

The Evening Standard has shared today that Ziyech’s £8million move to Al-Nassr has fallen through.

It remains to be seen if they will reignite interest at a later date, but their club officials have been disappointed by the player’s medical.

The report adds that Ziyech is still surplus to requirement at Stamford Bridge and could be back with the Blues squad for pre-season as an angry figure.

Apparently, Chelsea are now sounding out potential new buyers for the 30-year-old winger.

Ziyech’s Chelsea career is at a complete crossroad, so we hope for all parties a solution can be found this summer to find him a new home. Ideally, any transfer would happen by mid-July before the the club’s pre-season tour as well.

The left-footed winger scored zero goals and made three assists in 24 Chelsea appearances last season, which is remarkably poor for someone with his talent.

The Blues are putting their faith in young wide players such as Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk, who look a lot hungrier than Ziyech to prove themselves at Stamford Bridge.
