It is being reported Aston Villa are monitoring the situation of Conor Gallagher at Chelsea, after finding out the fee they would need to pay for the 22-year-old.
According to Birmingham Live, Steven Gerrard’s side are interested in adding the Blues man to the signing of Boubacar Kamara in midfield.
Gallagher excelled on loan at Crystal Palace last season, scoring eight goals and becoming a staple of a starting eleven who massively overachieved with a 12th placed finish.

The 22-year-old’s excellent form saw him also get his first call up to the England national team, where he’s gone on to make four appearances in a World Cup year.
The breakthrough season brought plaudits from around the league, with his manager at Palace Patrick Vieira describing him as “fantastic.”
It has been reported Thomas Tuchel is prepared to give Gallagher a chance in the upcoming pre-season, potentially saving the Blues the need to enter the transfer market for a central midfielder this summer.
Despite this, Villa’s interest has been reported by Birmingham Live, with their reporter Ashley Preece stating they were not finished with their investments in midfield.
He also confirmed Gallagher would be expected to cost in the region of £30m if they were to make a bid.

The Blues should look to keep hold of Gallagher, with last season proving he is more than suited for Premier League football.
His work-rate shown throughout the last campaign fits in with the likes of N’golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, with the trio the only midfielders trusted with the majority of the minutes in the big fixtures.
Tuchel will probably ideally want to change formation to play four at the back, potentially using an extra body in midfield. It feels likes Gallagher and Mason Mount could compete for that new role, both showing vast improvements in terms of goal output last season.
