Chelsea will reportedly renew talks on Tuesday to try sign Barcelona player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues hope they will renew discussions at some stage today with the 33-year-old striker.
It is understood the Barca forward wants to pen a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge, which is currently far too much for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
The report explains Chelsea’s current £15million bid is still a near-£10m short of Barcelona’s £25.6million asking price.
Apparently, sorting the actual transfer fee is not seen as big as a hurdle as the length of the player’s contract.
With talks scheduled within the next few hours, Chelsea fans will hope progress can be made on a deal quickly ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline day.

Chelsea renew Aubameyang talks on Tuesday
It was reported last week that Chelsea’s hopes of signing Aubameyang were fading, so it’s positive signs to hear a transfer may now be back on track.
Previously described as “incredible” by Blues star Christian Pulisic, Aubameyang has exactly what’s needed right now at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel’s squad is crying out for some more goals in the final third of the pitch, especially in the No.9 position.
There’s definitely a gap in the team for a prolific striker to slot right into the line-up, so hopefully Chelsea can bring in their target from Barcelona this week.
It’s covering old ground discussing just how proven Aubameyang is in front of goal. The fact he’s on 299 senior career club goals speaks for itself.

Raheem Sterling stepped up with a brace in Saturday’s victory at home to Leicester City, but he’s the only Chelsea attacker to score in the opening four Premier League games.
It does feel pretty essential that a new frontman joins in the next couple of days.
