Chelsea have agreed with youngster Tino Anjorin that they will not sell him this summer.

That is according to The Evening Standard.

Tino Anjorin, who’s been with Chelsea since a boy and risen up the academy ranks at Cobham, is back with the Blues right now after a frustrating time out on loan.

Unfortunately, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder managed just nine games across all competitions last season. He was very unfortunate to suffer a long-term injury that kept him unavailable for most of the year.

The Evening Standard claims that Chelsea believe Anjorin still has a future at Stamford Bridge and can develop, but they’re willing to allow him another loan in the 2023/24 campaign.

It is understood that the English talent will remain on Chelsea’s books and reassess his future next summer.

The report adds that he’s already got offers from clubs in England, France, the Netherlands and Denmark. Where will he be playing his football next season, though? Our personal preference would be a side in England’s second tier chasing a promotion bid.

We think another loan stint for Anjorin next season is the perfect decision. Hopefully, he can play regularly and start to fulfil his big potential.

20-year-old Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, whose own future is a popular topic for discussion this summer, has previously spoken very highly of Anjorin.

The pair spent time together during a loan in the Championship with Huddersfield.

Interestingly, Colwill claimed that Anjorin’s “presence is remarkable”, as quoted by The Athletic.

It’s just a timely reminder that Chelsea’s academy continues to produce such exciting youngsters and has done for a long time now.
