Chelsea are reportedly one of the four clubs in Bayern Munich defender David Alaba’s free transfer destinations shortlist.
The 28-year-old will enter the final six months of his contract with Bayern Munich next month.
So far, the two parties have yet to reach an agreement on a new contract.
According to a report from Sport Bild, Alaba and his agent Pini Zahavi have put together a list of four potential summer destinations.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are said to be the top contenders, with PSG also interested in the Austria international.
Chelsea, whose owner Roman Abramovich has a close relationship with Zahavi, are also on the list.
Zahavi reportedly played a key role in Abramovich’s Chelsea takeover in 2003.
Another report from Eurosport appears to support Sport Bild’s claims.
Eurosport’s sources claim that Chelsea are being kept in the loop by intermediaries.
They add that the Blues will be kept informed over the terms Alaba will be looking for and whether there are offers on the table.

Where would Alaba fit in at Chelsea?
There are understandably some questions about whether Chelsea would need Alaba in spite of his incredible versatility.
The Blues spent big on Ben Chilwell last summer, and he seems to have cemented his spot in the left-back position.
Alaba has mostly played as a centre-back at Bayern this season, but Chelsea have plenty of options in that role as well.
Thiago Silva’s contract expires at the end of the season but all the signs so far suggest that Chelsea will likely trigger the one-year extension option in his contract.
A defensive midfield role could be an option, but it is very unlikely that Alaba would be the first option in that role ahead of N’Golo Kante.
