Chelsea attacker Izzy Brown is reportedly on the verge of joining Championship club Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan.
According to Yorkshire Live, Sheffield Wednesday have beaten off competition for the likes of Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and QPR for the 23-year-old’s signature.
It is understood that the Englishman travelled to Hillsborough on Wednesday night ahead of a medical and the move is set to be finalised within 24 hours, meaning the deal will be completed by Thursday evening.

Brown has previously had six loan spells away from Stamford Bridge since joining back in 2013 from West Brom and has made just one first-team appearance for the Blues.
He is a versatile attacker that can play anywhere across the frontline, but usually operates in the number 10 role behind the striker and has plenty of creativity.
The technician managed eight assists in 28 games across all competitions last season for Luton Town, but it was an injury-hit campaign for him and unfortunately that’s been the story of so many of his loans in the past.

Brown looks set to drop down to England’s second-tier again and try enjoy regular action with Sheffield Wednesday.
But the chances of him carving out success with Chelsea’s first-team look slim right now despite his talent and this latest loan spell could go a long way to deciding where his long-term future lies.
