Chelsea and Watford have entered into discussions over the possible transfer of highly sort after striker, Ike Ugbo.
According to The Athletic, the newly promoted Championship outfit would like to bring Ugbo with them on their latest Premier League journey.
The 22-year-old has gained a lot of interested suitors whilst on loan with Cercle Brugge this season.
He netted 16 times in 32 appearances, helping the Belgian club to claw themselves away from relegation.
Brugge would’ve loved to make the deal permanent and could’ve done for £5m (Athletic).
However, Ugbo believes his efforts are best spent somewhere else on the continent.
Watford have now apparently weighed in about snatching the young forward away from Stamford Bridge.
Eintracht Frankfurt, Genk and Monaco are also said to be interested.
It does appear that Chelsea are about to lose another talented youngster off the Coham production line.
Ugbo joined the Blues Under-10s team, but never got a stab at senior football with his boyhood club.
Loans to Barnsley, MK Dons, Scunthorpe United, Roda JC and now Brugge have kept him away from South West London.
A move to Watford would certainly bring him closer to his footballing home and a potential trip back to the Bridge next campaign.
