Chelsea and Galatasaray are getting closer to an agreement over a loan deal for young striker David Datro Fofana, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.
The 20-year-old joined the Blues from Norwegian champions Molde in early January.
Fofana has already made two appearances as a substitute so far, including his Premier League debut in the draw against Fulham on Friday.
As it stands, the Ivory Coast international seems to be behind Kai Havertz in Chelsea’s striker pecking order but ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

So, it is hardly a surprise that Fanatik claims Chelsea were initially reluctant to let the player leave on loan.
Chelsea’s stance has reportedly changed ahead of transfer window deadlines in Turkey and several other countries.
There is an agreement, Fanatik claims, between Chelsea and Galatasaray over an 18-month loan deal for Fofana.
The situation remains complicated, however, since Fofana himself is reportedly not keen on a long-term loan deal to the Turkish side and prefers a six-month option, instead.
In fairness, the striker will likely have more loan options this summer, and rather than committing to a long-term loan stay, it would make sense to keep his options open.
Staying at Chelsea is a possibility too, although missing out on the Champions League squad will severely limit Fofana’s game time.
Fanatik adds that Chelsea and Galatasaray are expected to have another meeting over the possible loan deal.
