Chelsea would consider including Christian Pulisic in their offer for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, according to Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb.it.

Like Mason Mount, Pulisic is among the Chelsea players who are close to entering the final year of their contracts with the club.

Chelsea will soon have to decide whether they would want to cash in on the winger or offer him an extension.

Previous reports suggested that the Blues would be open to selling the 24-year-old.

That said, while there is likely plenty of interest in the American, it is also clear that Chelsea have had a hard time selling their players on their terms.

The fact that practically everybody knows that they will be under pressure to trim their squad this summer will not help, too.

So, instead of trying to find suitors for the player, it makes sense to include the player in a player-plus-cash offer for their targets as well.

This is what Calciomercatoweb.it claims Chelsea are planning with Pulisic in their pursuit of Osimhen.

But there is an obvious reason why these types of swap deals are rare in football — they are complicated.

Even if Osimhen, who recently admitted that he dreams of playing in the Premier League, would agree to join Chelsea, it remains unclear if Pulisic would want a move to Naples.

Not to mention that Napoli already have a top left winger in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and would likely prefer the money to spend on a replacement striker if they were to lose Osimhen.

The Italian media, however, also mentions that Juventus and AC Milan are both interested in Pulisic.
