Chelsea may reportedly be interested in a move this summer to sign Manchester City star Raheem Sterling.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues could end up considering a move for the 27-year-old attacker depending on which players leave Stamford Bridge in the transfer window.
The report explains Arsenal and Tottenham would be keen on landing Sterling if he opts against signing a new Man City contract, with his current deal at the Etihad Stadium expiring next year.
However, it is understood Chelsea would be a more attractive option for the England international.

Chelsea interested in Sterling
Of course, Chelsea’s takeover needs to be wrapped up first before transfer activity begins. It’s not going to stop the rumours circle, though.
The Telegraph’s report explains Sterling could be on Chelsea’s radar if they sell either Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech or Christian Pulisic. It’s been claimed there’s doubts around the futures of the aforementioned Blues trio.
It’s obvious that manager Thomas Tuchel needs to find a way of getting his attackers to score more, something which has been an issue throughout the whole 2021/22 season.
Sterling, who wasn’t always a nailed-on starter this year at Man City, scored 17 goals in 47 games across all competitions. Incidentally, that’s more than any player at Chelsea managed this term.

PL proven
If Chelsea links to Sterling do ramp up, there should definitely be some excitement around him.
The quick winger has scored 109 Premier League goals in his career already, as well as being a vital player for England’s national team.
Chelsea and Three Lions defender Reece James spoke last year about how tough it is playing against Sterling:
“Everyone knows how good a player Raheem Sterling is. It’s very hard playing against him. He’s probably one of the best wingers in the world at this moment in time and we’re going to need him for this tournament,” James said in June, 2021.
Let’s wait and see to find out how Tuchel wants to inject extra goals to his forward line.
