Chelsea are reportedly set to accelerate their transfer interest in Celtic’s Josip Juranovic.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues have decided they want to sign Celtic’s 27-year-old defender next month after Reece James came off with a suspected injury during yesterday’s game.
Chelsea full-back James, 23, marked his return from a knee problem by starting Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth. However, supporters were gutted to see him forced off the pitch early into the second-half with an issue.
There’s now going to be an anxious wait for Graham Potter’s side to hear the extent of the latest James injury.

Chelsea accelerate Juranovic interest
The Daily Mail suggests Chelsea’s latest injury blow could spark a busy start to the January transfer window.
It is explained that Potter’s men could wrap up a deal to sign Juranovic from Celtic quickly after next month’s window opens.
The report claims that the Scottish champions may sell the right-back for as little as £8million, which looks a total bargain when you consider his eye-catching World Cup performances in Croatia colours.
Apparently, Chelsea are now readying an approach after holding long-term interest in the full-back.

Described as “fantastic” recently by Gary Neville, Juranovic is a no-brainer signing for Chelsea at just £8million.
It’s obvious the Blues need another right-back option at Stamford Bridge as soon as possible, so it’s positive to hear contact may be made with Celtic quickly.
He’s an energetic right-back that was immense for third-placed Croatia at the World Cup. He’s got some European experience at club level, too.
This is very much a signing that provides perfect cover and competition for James, who right now is becoming a real injury worry.
