English Premier League side Brighton are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea defender Tariq Lamptey.
The Sun reports that Brighton are keen on trying to a secure a £6million deal for the teenager late in the January transfer window.

It is understood that Graham Potter’s side have entered the race for the in demand right-back and want to try do business before the window shuts on Friday.
The report also details that Crystal Palace have been eyeing the 19-year-old, while French side Lille have been trying to sort a pre-contract agreement.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is believed to be keen on keeping academy graduate Lamptey, but his current deal expires at the end of the season and his first-team opportunities are going to be limited due to Reece James’ emergence at Stamford Bridge.
It does look like Lamptey will be heading out the exit doors, whether that be in the January window or in the summer.

The quick full-back has caught the eye in his three senior appearances this season for the Blues, but it does look a long path into the side on a regular basis and he can’t be blamed for looking elsewhere.
He’s yet another star that has been developed by the academy and £6million could represent decent business for him considering his contract situation.
Brighton are a side that sit 15th in the league table and are just two points above the relegation places, so Lamptey would be thrown straight into a tough battle if he joined them.
