Chelsea have reportedly entered talks with Premier League rivals West Ham about the potential sale of Kurt Zouma.

Sky Sports reports that the two London club are in discussions about the 26-year-old Blues defender.

It is understood that West Ham are prepared to pay around £20million for him. However, the obvious problem at this moment in time is that it will fall under Chelsea’s valuation of the centre-back.

Sky Sports add though that the Frenchman is settled in the capital, so would be open to joining the Hammers over being involved in a potential swap deal that would see him move to Spain.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea may potentially include Zouma in a deal to sign Jules Kounde from La Liga club Sevilla.

Also, Romano has previously reported that Zouma is a plan B option for Tottenham, who are looking to improve their defence.

For Zouma, he needs the gaurantee of first-team football if he leaves Stamford Bridge this summer.

The £12million Frenchman has been an amazing servant for the Blues, so it would be sad to see him exit.

However, he could do a solid job at a club West Ham. In addition, he wouldn’t be throwing away European football by joining them because they are in this season’s Europa League.

It remains to be seen though if West Ham would be willing to increase their £20million valuation of him.
