Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly prepared to wait to see if Tottenham reignite interest in him this summer.
The 33-year-old is out of contract with the Blues at the end of this season and is free to discuss a move abroad right now.
According to the Telegraph, Italian side Lazio have offered the France international a pre-contract to join them ahead of the next campaign.
But it is understood that the centre-forward won’t make a final decision about his future and wants to see if Spurs come back in for him.
The report explains that Jose Mourinho’s Spurs considered a move for him in January and they will weigh up in the summer whether they should move for him when he becomes available on a free transfer.
Giroud appears to be heading out the exit doors in the summer and hopefully he can finish his final half a season in West London with some positivity.
The target man has only played seven senior games this season for the Blues, with both Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi moving above him in the pecking order.
But the left-footed star has had some memorable moments since he joined Chelsea in January 2018, including a goal last season in the Europa League final victory over his former side Arsenal in Baku.
He’s certainly still got enough quality to make an impact in the Premier League and deserves credit for not kicking up a fuss this season.
