Chelsea are reportedly interested in English defender Max Aarons from Championship club Norwich City.
According to the Mirror, the Blues have entered the pursuit for the in-demand 19-year-old and Arsenal are also keen.
It is understood that Tottenham want to step up their own interest in the right-back ahead of the summer transfer window and are regularly monitoring him.
The report further details that Norwich will not want to see their young starlet leave Carrow Road and have set a £15million valuation on him.
Aarons is an exciting talent that has broken into a Norwich team top of the Championship and looks extremely mature for his age.
He is an all-action full-back that has proven he is strong in defensive positions one-on-one and can thrive offensively too.
The right-back has scored three times and supplied four goals in all competitions so far this season and could be a star for the future.
Chelsea’s desire to sign a right-back for next season should be high, as they need a more attack-minded option to challenge Cesar Azpilicueta at Stamford Bridge.
Aarons is still a rising talent that would be making a huge jump if he joined a top-six club, but he’s overcome every obstacle so far and appears to have the potential to become a future star.
The Blues would need to step up interest if they are serious about signing him though, as Spurs appear to be frontrunners and have a great track record of nurturing English talents.
