Sergio Aguero has told his family friends that his next footballing destination will be Barcelona instead of Chelsea, according to Beteve.
Aguero is set to leave Manchester City after the campaign’s conclusion, calling curtains on a truly wonderful decade of service in light blue.
However, his career is far from finished.

Plenty of clubs are interested in landing the 32-year-old forward.
TyC Sports reported earlier this month that Chelsea were leading the race to sign Aguero.
The Blues are eager to secure a new striker, with Erling Haaland’s name also hot on their list.
Remaining in the Premier League is a very enticing prospect for City star, who is currently ranked fourth in the all-time goalscoring charts.

But this new development might steer him away from English shores.
Beteve suggested the Argentine international has informed those closest to him that Barcelona is where his future lies.
Possibly the main attraction about moving to Spain is a potential link up with international teammate, Lionel Messi.

Of course, with all the European Super League drama, transferring to Chelsea or Barcelona might not be such a promising solution.
Leaving one of the 12 clubs involved to join another seems like a strange step.
But for a player of Aguero’s talent, it would be hard to judge whichever team he does settle upon after City.
