Harvey Vale is reportedly heading back to Chelsea following his unhappy loan spell at Hull City.

According to the Evening Standard, the teenager will re-join his teammates at Cobham this month after taking a turn for the worse as a Tiger.

Vale signed for the Championship side in the summer for the season, hoping to accumulate some serious action in senior football.

The 19-year-old had played five times for Chelsea before heading to Yorkshire for the campaign.

His appearances have not hugely increased, however.

He has so far racked up just three matches in a Hull shirt, with two starts and a total of 137 minutes in combat.

Liam Rosenior started the forward in the recent FA Cup defeat to Fulham, potentially his last outing for the club.

Instead of seeing out the rest of the campaign in black and orange, Vale will finish the term as a Chelsea player once again.

This is where he will remain until at least the warm weather transfer window.

Having appeared in the Checkatrade Trophy for Chelsea’s Under-21s, he is deemed to have represented two clubs in 2022/23 and can therefore not go out on loan again.

Graham Potter might instantly call him up to the first-team, due to the mountain of injuries in his Premier League squad.
