Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko would not want to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge since he is aware of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the upcoming season, according to Calciomercato.
The 26-year-old has now entered the final year of his contract with Chelsea, and as it was the case in his last few seasons, is facing uncertainty over his future.
The simplest way would be to sell him on a permanent deal this summer and there are clear interests in the midfielder, including from Atletico Madrid and particularly AC Milan.

Bakayoko himself would like to return to San Siro, as his agent confirmed, but it remains unclear whether Milan could even afford to sign him.
His agent pointed out a possible alternative solution — for Bakayoko to sign a one-year contract extension which would give Chelsea and potential buying clubs more time to secure a deal.
Calciomercato, however, claims that Bakayoko is not interested in agreeing a new deal with the Blues. He is reportedly aware that he is not part of Tuchel’s plans next season.

This, of course, contradicts earlier reports suggesting the Chelsea boss would assess him and several other returning loanees during the upcoming pre-season.
Interestingly, the Italian news outlet claims that it is possible that there is a one-year extension option in the France international’s contract that Chelsea could trigger unilaterally, similar to Olivier Giroud’s case.
