Chelsea’s Ross Barkley is reportedly wanted by West Ham in the January transfer window.
According to the Mirror, London club West Ham are eyeing a potential swoop for the 26-year-old.

It is understood that that Hammers manager David Moyes wants to make a loan bid for the England international and hopes the fact he previously worked with him at Everton will help get a deal over the line.
But the report details that the Blues are currently refusing to allow Barkley to exit on loan and still consider him to be an important first teamer at Stamford Bridge.

Barkley’s prospects at Chelsea looked bleak going into 2020, as he had been frozen out of Frank Lampard’s squad and not seen any action since October.
The central midfielder has started though in the previous two games and appears to have found a mini patch of form.
He scored in an FA Cup third round win over Nottingham Forest and helped pull the strings for Lampard’s side.

Barkley then managed to follow that up at the weekend in the 3-0 victory against Burnley in the Premier League and he showed an incredible work-rate that raised a few eyebrows.
It seems like he’s quite far down the pecking order at Chelsea and he couldn’t be blamed for wanting to move on, but perhaps Lampard has other plans and is looking to use him more regularly moving forward.
He’s been far too inconsistent for the club since his £15million (BBC) arrival from Everton in 2015, but on his day is capable of some dazzling performances.
