Chelsea could reportedly make another move for Atletico Madrid full-back Nahuel Molina.

According to Marca, the Blues may well reignite their interest in the Argentine international after their apparent attempts to sign him in the summer.

Molina has reintroduced himself to the Stamford Bridge hierarchy and the rest of the globe during the World Cup.

It was his instinctive strike that put Argentina on their way to victory over the Netherlands in the quarter-final on Friday.

His stabbed finish following on from a magical Lionel Messi assist gave Lionel Scaloni’s side a foothold in the knockout tie.

Although the 2014 World Cup finalists squandered their 2-0 goal lead, they eventually won the contest via a penalty shootout.

Molina was substituted before the spot-kick drama, but his contribution towards the contest will not be forgotten.

The 24-year-old is likely to continues his impressive campaign against Croatia in the semi-final, potentially providing Chelsea and his other suitors with more evidence of his quality.

His displays in Qatar have arguably outweighed those at club level, where the full-back has been patchy since moving to Atletico Madrid for £10m in August.

He has started 11 of Atletico’s 14 La Liga fixtures, missing two early on due to a red card suspension.

But Molina will care very little for his inconsistences in Spain if he can help Argentina lift their third World Cup trophy.
