Chelsea are apparently casting their eye over one of Denmark’s European Championship heroes, Joakim Maehle.
According to Tutto Atalanta, the Blues have been impressed by Maehle’s performances at the tournament and would like to investigate him a little further.
The 24-year-old scored in Denmark’s 4-1 win against Russia in the group stage and again during the 4-0 assault on Wales the following match.

He has continued his decent club form onto the international scene, after enjoying a strong individual season with Atalanta.
In 41 appearances, he managed six assists and one goal.
Of course, whenever a player lights up a major tournament, whispers of a Premier League move start to become louder and louder.
With Chelsea, there could be serious potential for a transfer on the horizon.
After failing to land Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan, they might still be on the hunt for a right-sided player.
Enter Maehle, whose versatility has served him well up to this point.

For Denmark at the Euros, he’s featured as a left-wing back, whilst at Atalanta, he is usually deployed at right-wing back.
Thomas Tuchel’s 3-4-3 formation would suit his adaptability extremely well, if the Blues boss decides to continue with this set-up.
Maehle has another chance to raise his stock when the Danes take on the Czech Republic in the quarter-final on Saturday,
