Chelsea are currently unwilling to let Ethan Ampadu leave on loan this summer despite Thomas Tuchel reportedly keeping the door open for his exit.
According to Goal, the Blues have the intention of holding onto Ampadu this season.
Whilst many others have been shunted from their Stamford Bridge settlement, the Wales international has an opportunity to break into Tuchel’s squad.

Each day, a fresh slice of the Chelsea cherry pie is removed and being served up to someone on the continent.
Yesterday, Emerson Palmieri joined Lyon on loan. Not before Michy Batshuayi left for Besiktas and Tammy Abraham signed a permanent contract with Roma.
The list of departures is set to cover two sides of A4 paper, with room at the bottom to scribble a few more names.
But for Ampadu, he might just be handed a fresh sheet of parchment to re-write his own future.

Eager to keep Ethan around
He returned to Cobham for the first time last month since linking up with Sheffield United on loan last season.
Although the Blades were scythed down to the Championship, the 20-year-old performed pretty well in the circumstances.
“We make a poor error from a young boy, that is going to be a good player and already is a good player,” said United’s former boss Chris Wilder after a slip-up from Ampadu cost his side a win.
“Maybe he makes his mistakes at Sheffield United and goes back to Chelsea and uses that to learn. But he’s a fabulous character.”

Now back with the Blues, it appeared the defender/midfielder was going to be spending time away from the club he left Exeter City for in 2017.
A report from the Northern Echo claimed Tuchel had told Ampadu he was free to leave if an appropriate offer was presented.
Newcastle United have apparently approached Chelsea about potentially acquiring Ampadu.
However, Goal’s latest statement seems to suggest the Welshman will be saved from another loan this term.
