Report: Chelsea offered the chance to sign £329k-a-week superstar, but he prefers to join Barcelona

Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski has been offered to Chelsea, it’s been reported.

According to 90min, the centre-forward’s representatives have offered a number of Premier League clubs the chance to sign Lewandowski this summer.

It is understood Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have all been advised about the 33-year-old’s situation. None of the English teams are yet to take the matter any further yet, though.

In addition, the report explains Lewandowski’s preference is to join Spanish giants Barcelona.

Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reports Chelsea’s interest in the Bayern striker dates back a long time, but it’s Barcelona that lead the chase for his signature this summer.

Lewandowski has been offered to Chelsea

Of course, any team in the world would surely want to sign Lewandowski if financially viable.

The Poland international has 50 goals in 46 appearances this season for Bayern across all competitions, which is why he’s one of the deadliest attackers in the game. His current £329,000-a-week contract with the German champions is totally justified based on individual performances over the years.

However, Chelsea are still waiting for the takeover process to be pushed through before they can kick on with transfer activity.

Lukaku conundrum

Surely, there isn’t room at Stamford Bridge for another high-profile striker while Romelu Lukaku is in the Blues squad.

Gary Neville recently said he can’t believe how badly it’s gone for Lukaku since he re-signed for Chelsea last summer from Inter Milan.

It’s going to take quite the U-turn for him to be a big success as the club’s number nine next season.

Everyone in the Blues fanbase is intrigued to see how his future unfolds because he’s on a whopping £325,000-a-week package at Chelsea.
