Report: Chelsea one of only four clubs actually able to sign 21-year-old attacker next summer
Chelsea are reportedly one of four clubs that would actually be able to sign Fiorentina attacker Dusan Vlahovic next summer.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, the 21-year-old could be set to leave Italian club Fiorentina at the end of the season rather than during the current January transfer window.
It is explained that there are four possible destination for the centre-forward, including Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester City. In addition, Barcelona and Juventus are the others that could sign him.
Chelsea and Man City are the only English clubs he would consider joining, so it’ll be intriguing to see if the rising star is tempted by the challenge of the Premier League.
He’s a powerhouse striker that already has a glowing reputation as one of the best young players around.
The Serbian centre-forward has scored 18 goals in just 22 appearances across all competitions this season for Fiorentina.
Do Chelsea need another striker?
Of course, everyone’s eyes are closely peeled on Chelsea frontman Romelu Lukaku to see how he responds on the pitch to his recent interview controversy.
The Belgian only signed a new long-term deal in the summer and he’s reportedly got “no intention” of leaving during this window.
If he can get his Blues career back on track, it would make little sense to go chasing Vlahovic.
Armando Broja, who’s impressing out on loan with Southampton, looks like the perfect understudy next season at Stamford Bridge when he’s due to return to Chelsea.
