Chelsea are open to selling Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek amid Thomas Tuchel’s summer rebuild plans, according to the Daily Star.
Barkley’s possible Chelsea exit is hardly a surprise given his limited role at Chelsea this season.
In fact, the former Everton player has only played 151 minutes in the Premier League this season, the least among the current Chelsea squad except for Kenedy who just arrived.
Loftus-Cheek, on the other hand, was involved a lot during Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante’s absences in November and December before losing his spot when both returned.

Instead, the report claims that Tuchel is looking forward to working with Conor Gallagher who is having an impressive loan spell at Crystal Palace.
The 21-year-old has already had seven goals and three assists in the Premier League this season.
A recent report from The Athletic also mentioned that Tuchel has already had a couple of high-profile midfielders in his summer transfer wish list: West Ham’s Declan Rice and AS Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni.
Chelsea will certainly have to make space in the squad if they are to keep Gallagher for the upcoming season and continue their reported pursuit of Rice and Tchouameni.

As the Daily Star suggested, Barkley and Loftus-Cheek are likely the first names they would consider offloading.
Tuchel, however, has already had his three main midfield options in N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, and Mateo Kovacic — and things could get interesting in the summer.
