Report: Chelsea plan £80million move this summer for 16-goal attacker

Chelsea are reportedly planning to make a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho this summer.

According to the Sun, the Blues are prepared to step up interest in the England international by launching a massive £80million bid for the attacker at the end of the season.

It is detailed Chelsea are “huge admirers” of the 21-year-old speedster and Stamford Bridge officials will make a serious move, but face competition from Manchester United for his signature.

The report explains that Sancho is prepared to quit German side Dortmund this summer and has his heart set on a move back to England.

Additionally, current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is a “huge fan” of the £160,000-a-week wide man.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Sancho, who has been a key figure for Dortmund in the past few years, is in most people’s opinion set to be part of the England squad at this summer’s European Championships.

The right-winger has mouth-watering numbers of 16 goals and 21 assists in just 37 club appearances this season across all competitions.

He’s also received glowing praise in the past too from Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi, with he duo previously playing together with England’s youth teams.

“Obviously he’s a great player, I love playing with him – he’s a great player to play with. For England as well we’ve played all the way through the ages so the link-up has always been there,” Hudson-Odoi said in 2020.

Chelsea’s transfer priority in the attacking areas this summer has to be finding a prolific number nine.

However, it’s hard to ignore what a signing Sancho would be.

Tuchel is already stacked with wide options in his squad though, and it’s hard to picture room for one more.

Sancho is a talent that has proven himself to be a real star over in Germany, plus he’s got all the skills to replicate that in the Premier League.
