Mason Mount’s father has grown annoyed with how Chelsea have treated his son, according to reports.

90min has claimed that Mason Mount’s father, Tony, has become ‘increasingly agitated’ with Chelsea during recent contract negotiations.

It is understood that the Blues stance during contract talks with the 24-year-old has frustrated his father, which has eventually led to them looking elsewhere.

The report says that Mount has now agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of a potential move to Old Trafford this summer.

They claim the player’s camp are pleased with what’s on offer at United, but the clubs will need to agree a deal before the transfer can take place.

As it stands, United value the attacking midfielder at around £50million compared to Chelsea’s valuation of £75million.

The Telegraph shared yesterday that United do expect to complete a deal to sign Mount this summer after agreeing personal terms.

With various news outlets now running Mount developments, the story of him leaving Stamford Bridge this summer is now beginning to gather some real pace.

A couple of years ago we never could have imagined him playing his football anywhere else, but there’s clearly been a breakdown and he’s tipped to leave.

If Mount’s played his last game for Chelsea, we can only reflect on a great Blues career.

The academy graduate has played 195 first-team games for the club, winning the Champions League trophy during that time. He’s a two-time club Player of the Year winner, too.

Our frustration is that he may have finished with a disappointing campaign, where he failed to hit the heights he’s capable of.

Don’t be surprised if he quickly regains his form next season in another team’s colours, with United clearly in the driving seat.
