Chelsea are reportedly interested in left-sided flyer Robin Gosens from Italian top-flight club Atalanta.
According to the Daily Express, the Blues have informed left-back Marcos Alonso he can leave Stamford Bridge this month and want a replacement.
It is understood that Frank Lampard’s side are planning a £20million swoop to try land left wing-back Gosens in the current January window.
The report details that the 25-year-old has emerged as one of the priority targets now this month for the club to try sign.
Gosens has been majorly impressive an Atalanta side this season that sit fifth in Serie A and are also in the knockouts rounds of the Champions League, where they will face Valencia in the last-16.
The German full-back has been a mainstay in the team in a wing-back role and it suits him, as he’s got plenty of pace and likes to get forward.
He’s played 23 games across all competitions this campaign, scoring seven goals and supplying four assists in return.
Gosens looks a decent target if Lampard plans to use wing-backs more often at Stamford Bridge and £20million could be a punt worth taking.
But at the same tight a priority this month needs to be in the forward area and supporters are getting inpatient with time ticking on the window closing.
