Chelsea are reportedly are open to the idea of loaning Hakim Ziyech in the next transfer window, despite previous suggestions they wanted to sell him.
This is according to Sky Sports in Germany, who claim the Blues have the Moroccan’s part-time move on their mind.
Ziyech is enduring another difficult campaign with the Champions League holders, following an inconsistent debut season.
He has started just twice in the Premier League so far, registering two goals and one assist in all competitions.
The 28-year-old can claim to be going through a mini-decent run of form, having featured in four of Chelsea’s past five fixtures.
A goal away to Malmo in the Champions League certainly topped off this successful stretch ahead of the international break.
However, the uncertainties regarding his future continue to swirl.
Four days ago, 90min suggested Ziyech will push for the Stamford Bridge exit door after the New Year.
The report also added that the attacker’s employers would not stand in his way, with the thought of selling him not an impossibility.
Yet, as per Sky Germany, Chelsea seem more intent on loaning the former Ajax star, rather than losing him completely.
Should Ziyech be released into the January market, Borussia Dortmund will apparently be the first to reach out their hand.
The Bundesliga side had tried for Callum Hudson-Odoi in the summer but failed to prize the youngster from his South West London stronghold.
Although they might try again with Hudson-Odoi, Sky German say he will ‘definitely not leave the Premier League leaders in winter.’
