Reports from Italy have claimed that Chelsea are ready to make a concrete attempt to Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Blues are prepared to rival their fellow Premier League sides for the striker who has recently been seen scoring at the World Cup.

The 22-year-old has six goals in 10 Serie A games this season, after his £67m move from Fiorentina in January this year.

Despite only being with the club for less than a year, talk about his next club has not failed to escape. He has been linked to the Premier League for some time now.

Arsenal were interested in a deal for Vlahovic before he made the move to Turin. However, they were left frustrated after missing out on a deal when they tried to use Lucas Torreira as bargaining power the other way.

Chelsea keen on Vlahovic

Reports have claimed now that they are no longer considering a deal to sign the striker, due to being disappointed in both him and his representatives from January.

This could result in a cleared path for Chelsea to a deal, with Corriere Dello Sport claiming that they are ready to make a genuine offer to sign the star.

Juventus’ cash problems have been well-documented in recent months. It is reportedly behind their willingness to let fellow Chelsea target Weston McKennie leave despite his clear ability.

Chelsea are reportedly close to announcing a deal to sign Ivory Coast striker David Datro Fofana for January, as a stop-gap option.

The club will be without Armando Broja for the rest of the season after he suffered a knee injury.

With them expected to announce the signing of Christopher Nkunku for next season, the Blues may be wise to think against spending big money on a striker in January.
