Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Erling Haaland from Chelsea now that their bid has increased.

According to 90min, the Blues are readying a £150m proposal as part of their big push to lure Haaland away from Germany.

The 20-year-old is wanted across Europe, but his huge price tag is certainly putting off plenty of his suitors.

But not Chelsea, who have a Roman Abramovich’s Russian treasure chest to fall back on.

They are trying to iron out the finer details in this eight-figure offer, as the Stamford Bridge hierarchy would rather a number closer to the £135m mark – and the Blues believe their latest attempt to land Haaland will be accepted.

90min claim that BVB had previously refused to relinquish Haaland, on the basis they were potentially only looking at a £100m bid.

Now the sum has been raised, their interests have changed somewhat.

Signing the Norwegian striker for his current value would smash the British transfer record, not to mention becoming Chelsea’s most expensive transfer ever.

His wages would rock the Blues financial structure to its core, which is why Abramovich is eager to sell on several of Thomas Tuchel’s current squad.

There is a lot of perceived deadwood still floating around at Cobham, mainly in returning loanees or players on the fringes.

Fikayo Tomori’s £25m (Sky Sports) is the only profit Chelsea have made this window; they will need a lot more cash if Haaland is to land in South West London.
