Chelsea have reportedly set a €35million (£31m) asking price for on-loan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The 25-year-old has had a fairly good season at AS Monaco where he made 20 Ligue 1 appearances.
But now that the French top division has officially ended early, Bakayoko’s future becomes uncertain.
Monaco have decided not to activate the option to make the transfer permanent for a reported fee of €43m (£38m) (Goal) and a return to Chelsea is also unlikely as Frank Lampard has plenty of options in midfield.
Bakayoko has just two years left on his contract, and Chelsea are reportedly keen to offload him sooner rather than later.
According to French outlet Le10Sport, Chelsea have put a £31m price tag on the midfielder – a slight loss compared to the €40m (£35.4m) they paid to Monaco in 2017.
The report mentions Paris Saint-Germain, OGC Nice and AC Milan among those who are interested in the French international.
However, Le10Sport also claimed PSG sporting director Leonardo Araujo is reluctant to pay more than €30m (£26.5m) to seal the deal.
Nice could be an attractive destination for Bakayoko, as staying in Ligue 1 would boost his chance to represent France in the upcoming European Championships.
