Chelsea will be open to selling up to six players in the summer as the squad rebuild under the new ownership group continues, according to The Guardian.

Having already signed eight players in the January transfer window, it is pretty clear that Chelsea will have to eventually make space in the squad if they plan to bring in more players in the summer.

Bear in mind, there already a couple of expected additions to Graham Potter’s first-team squad next season.

Malo Gusto, who is currently staying on loan at Lyon, is among the most obvious ones on the list, as well as other loanees, including Callum Hudson-Odoi and potentially even Romelu Lukaku.

Aside from those, Blues have reportedly had an agreement in place with RB Leipzig for Christopher Nkunku who is expected to join in the summer.

A recent report from The Athletic suggested that Chelsea also have a clause in the loan agreement with Atletico that gives them the chance to sign Joao Felix permanently at the end of the season.

So, more focus should be put on player sales in the summer.

The Guardian claims that Hakim Ziyech, whose proposed loan move to Paris Saint-Germain met a disappointing end, is among the players Chelsea will be made available at the end of the season.

The Blues will reportedly also listen to offers for Christian Pulisic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as well as Hudson-Odoi who is still on loan at Bayer Leverkusen.

Lukaku’s case is an interesting one. It remains unclear if Inter Milan would extend his loan for a further year considering his poor overall performance and injury record this season, but finding another suitor for him would not be an easy task for Chelsea, too.

Selling Aubameyang and reintegrating Lukaku could be an option, although many Chelsea fans are likely against this idea.

Raheem Sterling, on the other hand, is said to remain committed to Chelsea, despite the arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk, who is arguably the favourite to be the first-choice left-winger under Potter.
