Chelsea have decided they would like Cesare Casadei to go out on another loan next season.

That is according to The Athletic.

Cesare Casadei, who’s just 20, signed for the Blues last summer in a £12million deal from Inter Milan.

He spent the first half of last season settling around Cobham as an Under-21 player for Chelsea. Afterwards, he experienced first-team football in England with Reading in the Championship.

Now, Chelsea hope to find their youngster a suitable Premier League loan.

The Athletic explains that clubs in Italy want to sign Casadei following his recent heroics at the Under-20s World Cup.

However, Chelsea hope that Premier League sides are now looking at the 20-year-old midfielder as a genuine loan option for next season.

Italy finished as runners-up this month at the Under-20 World Cup, with Casadei standing out as their talisman. In fact, he scored seven goals in seven games to win player of the tournament and the golden boot award.

Chelsea are crying out for a genuine goalscoring midfielder in their ranks, so the sooner the Italian youngster is ready to play in the Blues first team the better.

We would like to suggest one of the three newly-promoted clubs as potential clubs for Casadei. It’s worth stressing there’s been no transfer links yet, though.

Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side play an attractive brand of football and did a great job with Chelsea loanee Ian Maatsen last year. Maybe we should consider picking up the phone to discuss Casadei with them.

Elsewhere, we think the Italian midfielder would have a good chance of getting regular minutes at either Sheffield United or Luton Town.

If Casadei is joining a Premier League rival next season, we need to make sure he’s playing regularly.
