Billy Gilmour is reportedly likely to be leaving Chelsea yet again next season on another loan.
Gilmour, 20, is a Blues prospect that’s spending this current 2021/22 season out on loan with Premier League rivals Norwich City.
Unfortunately, the central midfielder has been in and out of the starting line-up at Carrow Road during an underwhelming campaign.
According to 90min, Gilmour’s not done enough this year to convince Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to draft him into his squad next season at Stamford Bridge.
It is explained that the 20-year-old’s facing another loan to try help his development.
The report does mention Fulham, Bournemouth and Rangers as possible suitors for the youngster
Gilmour’s an important Scotland international with 12 caps for his country, as well making 22 first-team appearances in a Chelsea shirt.
However, the deep-lying midfielder hasn’t been the right fit in the Norwich XI, and it’s been a bump in the road during what’s still such a young career.
In fairness, a fresh loan could be just what he needs to get back on track.

Chelsea future
Yes, many are disappointed with how Gilmour’s season has played out.
Many Blues supporters were fixed on his Norwich performances in the early stages of the campaign, but they’re now more focused on seeing how loanees Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja perform.
Gilmour’s definitely still got a chance of making it at Chelsea, but it’s a big test of his character in the next 12 months.
A return to Scotland with Rangers looks like it may be a nice fit, especially as they’re a team proving themselves on the European stage.
Some may prefer him to show he can make an influence at Premier League level, though.
