Reports suggest that new Chelsea signing Omari Hutchinson is set for a loan spell with Reading next season.

According to TeamTALK, the Royals are set to complete a deal for the 18-year-old on a temporary basis, with them attempting to secure a deal when he was playing for Arsenal.

The highly-promising teenager was left out of the Gunners’ pre-season tour, which saw him keen to move on in attempt to kick-start his career at the top level.

This desire saw him complete a move to the Blues, with him beginning training with their Under 23s side.

However, in order for him to experience first team football, TeamTALK claim he is set for a move to the SCL stadium, as Reading look to survive relegation from the Championship next season.

Hutchinson set for Championship loan

Paul Ince’s side are currently tipped for the drop, however have completed shroud business despite being under a transfer embargo.

With the domestic season just days away, they will be looking to finalise their squad as soon as possible, meaning Hutchinson’s move could be complete in the near future.

The former Arsenal man has captured a lot of attention already in his young career, with him receiving praise off the great Brazilian Pele during his named tournament in London.

Blues fans will be hoping the 18-year-old enjoys a prolific spell in Berkshire, with the hope that he can learn about the physicality of first team football to put him in a position to soon compete with Chelsea’s current young crop.

The acquisition in itself impressed the Stamford Bridge faithful, with them having it confirmed that the new owner Todd Boehly was keen to continue building for the future as well as looking to sign big names in what could be the biggest transfer window the club have experienced in some time.
